Good Morning

This is Bill - pictures do not do his adorableness justice. Considering he looks really tough in this photo and he is really %100 teddy bear. He was especially emotionally hard for me. Mostly, because there is something about him that is much like my Bebe.

The first few days that Bill was at the shelter, he was heartbroken. I mean reeaallly depressed. Obviously belonging to someone.

Over the last few days he got better. With the help of some back rubs - Bill really loves back rubs. He also loved the 'sit' command. Very proud that he knew that. Would like to show it off all day. Everyday getting more and more lovable.

Bill was scheduled to be put down this morning. At the same time Mama got a call from a rescue group that wanted him - ah! First she called the shelter - no response. So rush, rush, hurry, hurry to find the Animal Control Officers cell number. Aha! Got it. The ACO had just sedated Bill and was about to give him his 'last rites'.

To make a wacky story short, the rescue group didn't take our Bill. Because, when he woke up (about 5 hours later - poor sleepy head) his real live owner had arrived to pick him up. And his little girlie too. So, happy Bill went home with his happy (but bawling) owners.

.THE END.

Moral of story:
1: Always, always check the shelter ASAP when you loose your pet.
2: God loves his pitty babies.

Nutshell Monday

Our day started out taking this little puppy to the vet. Isn't he CUTE? His name is Tank. He is a Jack Russell mix who desperately needs your prayers - aside from having a broken back leg, Tank also has Sarcoptic mange. If he doesn't find foster or rescue he will have to be put to sleep. Tank is a spunky little guy though - living in ignorant happy bliss and being oh so cute!

Then we headed to South Carolina to take care of the Granddaddy. We recently discovered an amazing coffee place on the road to Granddaddy's . . . ah! To die for. It also happens to be on the way to the place where I take those dreaded CLEP tests . . . It's all together the most perfect comfort food place. *happy sigh*

Then at Granddaddy's - I studied my heart out like the good girl I am.
*adjusts halo*

Lala & Loshie

Once upon this Saturday . . . which already seems like forever and a day ago.

This Laura attended a Camp that was in this Laura's town - or thereabouts.

So, just naturally this Laura went to visit this Laura at that hereabouts camp!

And the two Laura's had a grand time - doing practically nothing - hanging out by the gorgeous creek - sticking their feet in freeezzzing water - walking up and down lots of steps - drinking caffeine - just having some friend time.

And it was peachy.

Bye Bye Katydid

Well, our dearest foster Katie left today!
I do believe she deserves a fancy 'one of the best fosters ever' awards.
She recognized her Grandma's voice even before she saw her - sooo happy to go home.

(Stock Photo - not by moi)
Studying . . . . studying . . . studying . . . but lovin' it.

Our darling foster puppy, Jiminy was adopted! He left last week. *sniff sniff* He has gone to be a K9 search doggie, hero and most importantly to live with his forever family.

Katie, oh Katie . . . her story is so long and so confusing and very heartbreaking. But here's a short version of our foster Katie - She's 11 years old and sooo sweet. Poor girlie was attacked by either another dog, wild cat . . . something. We found her Mommy through her mircochip - yay! Her Grandparents will be picking her up Monday ! We love her and have had a wonderful week with her.

THE END.
For now . . . :)
