Questions { Part 1 }

It's so, so late . . . but I can't sleep. Tried and failed! :) I've been wanting to blog all day. . . so here I be!! Let's see if I make any sense . . . hehe.

Carla: "Who's your favorite band//singer? What type of music do you like?"

Not sure if I have an official "favorite" . . . I love so many different bands and singers! All depends on my mood. It's late and rainy right now . . . and I would really like some Andy Williams. Same thing with favorite styles. Although, I'm mostly a big band and classical gal. Even opera. I adore Gershwin, Glenn Miller (Wow! I have the deepest of respect for him!), Harry James . . . Schumann rules in the classical world. At least in my opinion. The craft room would be a lonely place without the 'oldies'. As far as 'new' music . . . I like it to have a little folkish artsy air. Like Jack Johnson, Lenka, Brendan James, Feist or She & Him. I listen to a little bit of everything ~ except rap. It's so annoying. I listen to a little country. But I'm very picky about it. Josh Turner is the best.

Saskia: "If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be and why?"

Ooo! Well . . . right now a sunny beach sounds dreamy. Or somewhere else warm!

But most likely . . . I would choose Ireland! It looks and sounds so homey. Warm or cold.

Saskia: "Also, what is your favourite thing about yourself?"

My favorite thing about myself is that there is something about moi that reminds people of Grandma. No idea what ~ I definitely don't see it . . . but it makes me most happy!

And I like being a brunette. *smiles*

Dear Blog,

I miss you. I do. There have been so many times this past week that I have longed to blog. But have I have had bloggers-block bad. *sigh* There are many, many things happening in my life right now. Happy, sad, exciting, exhausting, encouraging and just plum busy stuff. But not blogging friendly stuff. Sometimes it's just impossible to word one's feelings.

We have started going to our local shelter every Wednesday. I take pictures and help post them on Petfinder. And do all sorts of random little jobs. hehe. It sounds super easy! I thought it would be. ;) It's very fast paced and at times really emotional. Very busy stuff.The most happy thing is . . . we have gotten 16 adopted or in foster homes. Yay!!! Happy!!

I am missing my honey bunny. But am SO happy to report that his beloved widow is playing again! Yay! The most heartbreaking thing has been watching her mourn. Abby is one majorly sentimental bunny. And I have had to be very careful with everything I do . . . for instance, newly filled water bottles make her really depressed. Eli & Abby had a "fighting"/who gets it first game about that. Don't try to tell me animals don't have memories!! ;) Abby sure does.

Oh! I forgot to mention . . . We have started a new blog to post about our fosters. SunnySpot Inn. :D

Since everybody else is . . . . I thought I would open an opportunity for you to ask me questions. I'm in a question mood!! Ask away, my dears! Anything! Or perhaps help my blogger block and suggest something you think I should postie about? ::hint hint::

Sunshine and Nephews

It was so amazingly warm this weekend!! How wonderful. Made me want to go camping desperately. You wouldn't have believed that we had snow last weekend. So nice and warm. *happy sigh* We took a picnic and went to visit the dear relatives we hadn't seen in months.

Well, this one we had never seen. lol. This is my new doggie nephew Jake. He is one sweetie pie! Showed up at Stacey's house and refused to leave. Oh well. Guess he has to stay. ;) He reminds of Eddie from Frasier.

The real live human nephew likes him muchly. (Although Jake is very much so Austin's dog)

Yes, darling. You are still the number one baby boy.

Oh my word. I can never get over how cahouute he is!

The last of the fabric for my new quilt just came. *squeal* I am beyond excited!! I can really dive into that today. Yay!! At long last. Open the windows, crank up Bing & Neil . . . gypsy quilt here I come.

. We handed a puppy to it's new forever owners . . . so happy .
